Alessia Taylor is a research assistant for the Department of Vascular Surgery at Michigan Medicine and has worked with both cell cultures and in vivo models, testing various elements of Deep Vein Thrombosis. She is an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan pursuing her Bachelor of Neuroscience and History. As an employee of the Jobst Vascular Research Laboratory, she focuses her studies on the Protein Matrix Elements of Thrombosis to gain a deeper understanding of the underlying mechanisms behind Deep Vein Thrombosis and explore alternative therapies to the current anti-coagulant.
