Richard Kennedy is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 30 years of experience in Multi Institution Hospital Leadership, Outpatient Services and more recently in Clinical Medicine. After completing his Bachelors and Masters Studies at the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, AL) in 1992, Mr Kennedy moved to Oakland California to work in Executive Leadership at the Medicus Medical Group (a Physician Practice Management Company). Over the next 10 years he served for various PPMC’s in Dallas, TX, Durham, NC and finally in Washington, DC. At that time he was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer for Prince Georges Hospital Center in Cheverly, MD. He was responsible for Cardiac Services, Emergency and Trauma Services, Behavioral Health and all Ancillary Hospital Services.
In 2003, Mr. Kennedy moved to Aventura, Florida and was given the opportunity to design and build a 407 bed replacement hospital for HCA East Florida Division of hospitals. He served as the Chief Operating Officer there until being appointed 4 years later as the Chief Executive Officer of The Northwest Medical Center in Margate, Florida. After serving for a total of 12 years in the HCA East Florida Division Mr. Kennedy chose to return to school full time to complete his Masters Degree in Science and was awarded a degree in 2017 which allowed him to begin practicing as a PA.
In 2017 Mr. Kennedy moved to Greenbelt, MD to begin his clinical career and ultimately is now serving as the CEO for the Center for Vascular Medicine.
