Fedor Lurie, MD, PhD, RPVI, RVT
Dr Lurie is the Associate Director of the Jobst Vascular Institute and the Adjunct Research Professor at the Division of Vascular Surgery, University of Michigan Ann Arbor. His career as an academic vascular surgeon since 1980 combined clinical practice and research in venous, lymphatic disorders and wound care. He has served as the principal investigator on several multicenter randomized clinical trials, as well as on basic science and clinical studies.
Dr. Lurie’s clinical research interest included studies of venous reconstructive surgery, endovenous thermal ablations, natural history of venous disease, management of patients with acute DVT, and studies of compression therapy. His basic science research included investigating venous valve function, hemodynamics of shock, and hemodynamic response to vascular interventions.
