Dr. Hedayati is Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. She is part of the Instiute for Cardiovascualr Health -Ascension Texas. She recently joined this dynamic group after having been at the University of California, Davis for 17 years and serving as Chief of Vascular Surgery at Sacramento Veterans Affairs Medical Center for seven of those years. Her research interests have focused on outcomes of peripheral arterial interventions, stem cell therapies for critical limb ischemia, and treatment of superficial venous disease. She is passionate about resident education and training the next generation of vascular surgeons. Dr. Hedayati is a distinguished fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery and the American Venous Forum.
Dr. Hedayati actively serves on multiple committees of the American Venous Forum, the Society for Vascular Surgery, and the American College of Surgeons. Furthermore, she is an editor for the Journal of Vascular Surgery-Venous and Lymphatic Disorders.
